How to Find Your Voice, Tell Your Story and Entertain Your Audience!
I sat opposite an old friend in a tearoom recently and we were talking about how early experiences had effected our ability to communicate as effectively as we could have done.
He told me the story of how he wondered why he had struggled to find his voice and how he was at home one day with his young son and daughter. They were running around the room laughing and calling out “Tig” every time they touched.
Their grandfather looked up from his paper and spoke above the noise.
“Children should be seen and not heard!”
My friend held his hands out, his mouth open.
“That’s what he always said to me!”
How many of us have suffered a similar experience?
How many of us have a story to tell but no one to tell it to?
How many of us would love to have a stage for our story?
StoryTelling Corner welcomes you to Temperance, 33 Bath Street, Leamington Spa, where we will be offering that stage to storytellers and story lovers to meet once a month to educate and entertain a supportive audience.

What Do You Need To Know…
StoryTelling Corner opened it’s doors last October at Slate Art Gallery in Leamington Spa with “War and Humour.” Two published authors read excerpts from their novels and I told my story of being in a war zone-where the war never managed to ruin a great experience.
Over the next Seven Episodes, we were royally entertained by tales from Bronze Age Briton through a 19th century murderess to the story told by a man who died.
